The shaman's felt: following Joseph Beuys' steps

It was a national contest about fashion design, sculpture, fashion accessories, wearable items and scenic items that was held on the occasion of Feltrosa 2012.

J. Beuys believed that there was no net division between the sensible and intellegible world. As a matter of fact he used to say that his work was "practically never
symbolic ". He always tried to put opposites together by appealing to his pre-rational and intuitive abilities and examining "the original situations still based on
inspiration and intuition, which also means to repropose a relationship with God at a higher level." (Doris Leutgeb). Therefore, today the path shown by Beuys
forces us to read again the concept of ancient shamanism, which is still valid in our present days, through a self-awareness process which allows us to
overcome pure symbolic or, even worse, allegoric representations.
